Coach Ethan came to us without a lot of formal gym training, but an incredible amount of heart and determination. He knows from first-hand experience how proper physical fitness and a good gym environment can change lives. He grew up with a lot of barriers, feeling that academics were not really his thing, but neither was athletics or the social scene. With his family’s help, he overcame some obstacles to get physically fit, succeeded in the Work Force connection program, and was thrilled when the opportunity came for him to join the team at Gymnastics Beat. Coach Ethan is always eager to learn something new, whether it’s in cheer, tumbling, martial arts, or something else. He says, “Coming to Gymnastics Beat was one of the best things to ever happen to me. I finally came out of my shell. I learned how to fail and fall, but most importantly I learned to never give up and how to find multiple ways to overcome obstacles. I found out I really enjoy helping my students learn what I have learned while having fun and bonding with them in the process.” Ethan is a hard worker who loves to pass on new skills as soon as he learns them.
