Monique Crosby – bio
Monique brings several years of dance, cheer and All-Star cheerleading experience to Gymnastics Beat! Starting from the tender age of 5, she started at the Cynthia Merril School of Arts and eventually moved her way up onto Pop Warner, Jr. High and Central High School Pep & Cheer, NDA and Fusion All-Stars competitive teams and finished up with Fresno City College cheer. One of her many proud moments was winning individual titles with the NDA (National Dance Association All-Stars). Monique’s professional debut was with the semi-pro dance teams: Fresno Fuego and Central Valley Coyotes. During those busy times, Monique also managed to coach and direct back-to-back cheer championship titles with Terronez Middle School in Fresno!
Monique was scouted by one of our top team members while she and her 3-year-old daughter Bryelle were playing together during our Open Gym/Playtime sessions. Monique had that quality of a dedicated and loving parent, enjoying time with their child. It was truly that bonding moment where she was approached and asked to become one of our pre-k instructors! And she gladly accepted!
Now coaching for several of our classes including tumbling, pre-k, fundamental cheer, and POM, Monique says she loves all the bonds that are created while working together as a team! Next to being a mother, coaching is the most rewarding and worthwhile endeavor she is passionate about!
