Hi GymBeat Family,
Welcome to the start of the holiday season! We are sure that lots of exciting things are in store! That being said, as we enter such a joyful and fun part of the year, it's important to reflect on this challenging year and all who continue to be affected in some way. Think about how you can spread the joy this season and help those who are in need. However, without further ado, this months newsletter:

Coach of the Month
Ethan Ceballos
Ethan has been coaching at Gymbeat for several years now and says from all the developed skills in gymnastics and tumbling learned, he’s been able to utilize his athletic skills learning dance moves from Tik Tok! Next time you see him, ask him to show you the latest from the app! Ethan also loves the outdoors and recently enjoyed a 3-day backpacking trip with his dad, where they hiked and fished to their hearts content! Ethan loves helping remodel the gym while during the pandemic. Volunteering his time and energy, he can see the progress and vision of what 2021 will bring! He continues to learn and teach the art of Ninja Zone and gymnastics, thus becoming one of our ‘cool & popular’ energetic coaches with the kids! Thank you Ethan!....and happy backflips!!

Athletes of the Month
Darcella Holmes
Darcella is 5 years old and is a kindergartener. She is currently enrolled in our Thursday transitional class (ages 5 to 6) with coach Melissa and loves flipping! Her favorite skill to show off to her friends and family are the splits and practices not only in class, but at home as well. In her spare time, Darcella likes to make Tik Tok videos and enjoys her two pet dogs named Lightning and Storm! How electrifying!

Peyton Olivarria
Peyton is 12 years old and is attending zoom classes, while in 7th grade. Her favorite subject in school is AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination). While Peyton enjoys school, she certainly enjoys tumbling equally so! Her goal is to get her kick over without mats and perfecting straddle rolls. In her spare time, Peyton gives all of her love to her 4 dogs named: Blu, Dot, Pesci, and Penelope, which also gives her a great workout! Did you know Peyton is the step-daughter and step-great-granddaughter of two of our
past employees? Her step-mom is Bobbie Olivarria who coached for us over 10 years ago and Peyton’s great grand-mama is Bobbie Riding who was our birthday party manager, also 10 years ago! So, Peyton, how about working for us
in a few years?

< Our past employee, Bobbie Olivarria (left) celebrates Bobbie Riding’s 90th birthday! Congratulations Bobbie!!
Sam's Corner
Holidays are here! It’s that time between the months of November and December, people shopping and taking time off for the holidays. However, there is something else many of you families have asked before the end of each year. That is making a donation to our non-profit name sake: ‘For the Fun of Fit’ for a tax deduction for the 2020 year! Yes, instead of a donation to your favorite charity, please consider the damage of what covid-19 has done to all businesses throughout the country and world. From our reports, at least 75 gymnastics centers have closed permanently in the US alone. Cheer centers as well. That is why we are asking you, our families to consider making a small end of the year tax-deductible donation to our gym. Every dollar will go towards something you wish to help out, whether it be new equipment, repairs, coaches training or anything you want the money to go towards. With every donation, you will receive a signed receipt with the amount to turn in for tax purposes. As we wind down to the end of 2020, we do have hope and optimism that 2021 will be much better with promising COVID medical breakthroughs around the corner, and kids getting back to physical school and jobs will be returning to all! We at Gymnastics Beat and Pyramid Athletics Cheer wish everyone a very healthy and safe holiday season!
